Forssa Textile Week brings together textile professionals who share the ideology of ethical and sustainable textiles. Our participants range from spinners to weavers, to clothing and pattern designers, to companies that focus on reusable and recycled textiles. At the Forssa Textile Week Pop-up, you can find sustainable products and get inpired by the world of textile design.

    Forssa Textile Week opens textile-themed pop-up shops in the city center. At Puistolinna, next to the Market Square, you can find a selection of products from sustainable and ethical Finnish textile brands and producers.

    You can also find a member of the Forssa Textile Week event staff on location at Puistolinna. They will help you navigate the event. Don't hesitate to turn to us. You are most welcome!

    Located in the same building are Mari Shop and a yarn store Janskun Lanka. Around the corner, you can find a local fabric store Kankainen.

    The historical Weaving Mill is home to not one, not two but three shops/workshops! Marja Hannula sells handmade textile and Rykkeri / Forssa Fabric designs, prints and sews clothing, and household textile products on location by hand. At the Rykkeri Shop you can also find products from other local companies and small businesses. They also have a newly opened webshop.

    Finlayson shop is located next to the Citymarket grocery store (Kutomonkuja 1 / Yhtiönkatu), inside the old factory. The Finlayson Shop os open Thu-Fri 10-18, Sat 9-17, Sun 12-16. The shop carries some of the all-time favorites in printed and woven household textiles.

    Forssa Museum & Pattern Center Museum Shop! Set your afternoon tea on a tray decorated with 1970's beautiful patterns or tie your hair up with a scrunchie made from Forssa Factory textiles! Forssa Museum Shop is filled with products that showcase a range of vibrant patterns from the Forssa textile factories and Forssa atelier. The Museum Shop collection offers a variety of household items, jewelry, hair accessories, literature, paper products, and small mementos to remember your visit to Forssa. Made mainly by Finnish and local Forssa craftsmen and companies, or in our own museum workshop, you won't find these anywhere else!

    At the pop-up shop you can find textiles and pattern products from sustainable producers and designers. You are most welcome to explore the collections of printed and woven textiles. At Työväentalo you can also find a memeber of Forssa Textile Week event staff, and find help navigating the event.     Textile Education Pop-up! The old Factory Hotel hosts educational institutions that provide programs in textile and design. Visit the pop-ups where you can find products from students and young professionals, and explore the opportunities in the field of design. 

    Tavastia Educational Consortium will give you an overview of the educational programs in their Tavastia Vocational College where you can study the fields of textile and design. They will also present a selection of student projects for you to see.

    Yrkehögskolan / AMK Novia & Fibershed FinlandNovia is the largest University of Applied Sciences in Finland to offer both Bachelor and Master level programs in Swedish and English. They operate in Vaasa, Turku, Raasepori and Pietarsaari. Both their research an projects emphasize participation, sustainable development and the green transition. Their department of Bioeconomy has three ongoing projects relating to natural fibers.

    Novida offers vocational and general upper secondary education and training. Their pop-up will showcase designs and products made by their students. Here you can also learn about the study opportunities their institutuion has to offer.

    Salon seudun ammattiopisto / SSKKY is a vocational school. Their pop-up will host products from three students. Some have recently graduated and some are still finishing their studies. These young entrepreneurs have established their own companies that specialise in textile as well as the usage of different materials, design and patterns.
