Exhibition space Vinkkeli, Forssa City Library (2nd floor)
Wahreninkatu 4
Join Kristiina Huttunen, author of the book Siveltimenä heinänkorsi (Painting with a Blade of Grass) and curator at the Forssa Museum, on a journey into the story of Forssa's atelier pattern designers through original, unique sketches.
Huttunen's manuscript is based on interviews recorded during meetings between designers from Finlayson's Forssa atelier and staff from the Forssa Museum. The sketches reveal not only the distinctive styles of different designers but also the evolving trends in fashion, themes, styles, and sketching techniques over time. This diverse exhibition offers a cross-section of the atelier's history, featuring original versions of familiar patterns as well as designs that never made it into production.
