Yleisöopastukset keväällä 2025
Tervetuloa mukaan kevätkauden 2025 yleisöopastuksille helmikuusta alkaen! Opastukset järjestetään torstaisin vuoroviikoin Forssan museon Kirjavan kankaan kaupunki -perusnäyttelyyn sekä Kuosikeskuksen näyttelyyn. Opastus sisältyy pääsylipun hintaan / museokortti-käyntiin.

Kehräämön perhelauantait
Forssan Kehräämöalueella vietetään avoimien ovien päiviä Perhelauantain tapahtumasarjan merkeissä. Mukana ovat Forssan museo, Forssan kaupunginkirjasto, Luontomuseo sekä Forssan nuorisopalveluiden Nuorisotila Kuutamo. Tapahtumissa on sesonkiin sopivaa puuhaa ja nähtävää perheen pienimmille.
Tapahtumiin on vapaa pääsy.

Lauantai 25.1. Teema: Rakennettu perintömme
Euroopan Neuvoston Kulttuuriympäristöpäivien teema vuonna 2025 on Rakennettu perintömme.
Lauantai 15.2. Teema: Mediataitoviikko
Valtakunnallinen mediataitoviikko huipentuu viikonloppuun. Perhelauantain ohjelmassa noudatellaan viikon teemaa.
Lauantai 22.3. Teema: Maailman vesipäivä
Lauantai 26.4. Teema: Vapun etkot
Kehräämöalueella virittäydytään vapputunnelmiin.

The City of Colourful Cloth - guided tours in English
You are most welcome to join our English speaking guide on a journey through the history of Forssa.

THE CITY OF COLOURFUL CLOTH
Our permanent exhibition City of Colourful Cloth tells how Forssa evolved from a group of farming villages of the middle of the 19th century into a modern industrial city.
It tells how Axel Wahren founded Forssa and how “cotton angels” came to work in the factory. It tells about the time when the river through the city got blue, green or red, depending on the dyeing plant. It also tells about later days when rotating machines produced kilometers of colourful cloth, and when houses were made of concrete.
